Terri worked as a Technology Aide for the District 90 school district for ten years, where all four of her children attended.  She was completely self-taught when it came to learning to use Mac Computers.  From the start, Terri “tirelessly inspired River Forest students, teachers, and community to embrace the endless possibilties of technology.”

In order to honor Terri’s passion to promote technology and make it accessible for everyone, Terri’s family has created the Terri Race Educational Technology Fund.

Terri’s family is in the process of ensuring that the fund is awarded to the best possible recipients.  Thus far, we are working with three recipients:

1. Hephzibah Home, in Oak Park, IL;

2. Irving Elementary School, where Terri attended 5-8 grade;

3. Golder College Prep, where Terri's daughter, Mariel, currently teaches high school Spanish.
